Shanghai, China – On June 9, Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. ("MicroPort EP") obtained the registration certificate of China Food and Drug Administration ("CFDA") for its in-house developed OptimAblate™ Irrigation Pump.
The OptimAblate™ Irrigation Pump is a special device designed for the RF ablation procedure of cardiac arrhythmias, to be used with the specialized tubing set. When used with the RF generator, the irrigation pump cools down the ablating process by perfusing saline to irrigated ablation catheters at certain flow rate, and thereby to achieve deep ablation, improve success rate and reduce thrombosis.
The OptimAblate™ Irrigation Pump has received CE mark approval in 2015 and obtained approvals for market launch in Turkey and other countries. The CFDA approval marked the official launch of MicroPort EP's irrigation pump following Columbus™ 3D EP Navigation System, and signifies another solid step of MicroPort EP in becoming the provider of "a complete solution platform combining active and nonactive, device and equipment."
