BOSTON, USA-Recently, the 45th Annual Meeting of the American Heart Rhythm Society (HRS 2024) was successfully held in Boston. Shanghai MicroPort EP MedTech Co., Ltd. (referred to as "MicroPort EP") actively participated in the exhibition with a number of innovative products portfolio, showcasing a new picture of interventional diagnosis and treatment of tachyarrhythmia in an all-round way.
During the exhibition, MicroPort EP exhibited a number of innovative products in the field of electrophysiological interventional diagnosis and ablation therapy, including Columbus™ 3D EP Navigation System (referred to as "Columbus™ 3D System") and its compatible products, such as FireMagic™ TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter (referred to as "TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter"), EasyStars™ High Density Mapping Catheter (referred to as "EasyStars™ Catheter"), ter"), EasyLoop™ 3D Circular Mapping Catheter, FireMagic™ PreciSense™ 3D Microelectrode Ablation Catheter, PathBuilder™ Transseptal Guiding Introducer, etc. In addition, the newly developed products, Magbot™ Ablation Catheter, Magbot™ EasyStars™ Mapping Catheter made their debut at this exhibition, drawing significant attention from physicians.
As a comprehensive EP products provider, MicroPort EP’s booth has attracted physicians from the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Japan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Egypt, Brazil, Ecuador, Mexico and Argentina to consult and experience product performance. Dr. Mervat Aboulmaaty, president of the African Heart Rhythm Association (AFHRA), Dr. Ulises Rojel, president of the Latin American Heart Rhythm Association (LAHRS), and Dr. Néstor López Cabanillas, vice-president of the Latin American Heart Rhythm Association (LAHRS), also came to the booth to share and exchange experiences. They looked forward to MicroPort EP introducing more innovative products in the future, bringing greater benefits to patients.
At the exhibition, MicroPort EP’s team conducted a demonstration of the latest software of the Columbus™ 3D System, integrated with TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter and the EasyStars™ Catheter. After manipulating the EasyStars™ Catheter for modeling and mapping, several physicians said the visualization of the catheter on the software interface was significantly improved, meanwhile the branches were soft, the maneuverability was stable, the modeling was safer and more efficient, and the signal acquisition was clearer. In addition, the performance of the TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter was highly praised by the experts. According to a Dr. Ali Oto from Memorial Hospital in Turkey, the TrueForce™ Ablation Catheter featured a comfortable handle with accurate twist control compared to FireMagic™ 3D Cardiac RF Ablation Catheter. An expert from Italy praised the precise and real-time force feedback of the catheter, saying that refresh rare for force value is really fast. With further promotion and application of the catheter, it can provide more efficient, advanced and accurate treatment of atrial fibrillation for a large number of patients.
During the show, PathBuilder™ needle and introducer family developed by MicroPort EP and approved by the Food and Drug Administration of the United States (FDA) also attracted wide attention. When MicroPort EP team introduced that the maximum bending degree of PathBuilder™ steerable introducer can reach to 230, physicians gave full recognition to its excellent bending performance. One of the experts commented that the the feature could better facilitate the catheter reach target area.
For now, MicroPort EP's products have been exported to more than thirty countries and regions.
